Our Client Testimonials
We remodeled the kitchen and two bathrooms as part of a larger first-floor refresh. The kitchen now works for a family and the bathrooms feel like they belong in a nicer house. Attention to trim, grout, and hardware stood out. They stayed on schedule and the final walkthrough was thorough. Extremely pleased with the results.
Our master bathroom and kitchen were last remodeled in the 90s, so we finally hired LeCut. The walk-in shower, dual vanity, and new kitchen layout completely changed how we use the house. Our project manager was on site almost every day and handled the permits without us lifting a finger. Workmanship is excellent and they finished a week early. Couldn’t be happier with LeCut!!!
We couldn't be happier with our experience working with LeCut Construction. Yari, Luis and the whole team were great to work with throughout the process. They responded quickly to every question, concern or comment we had every step of the way. They completely remodeled both our bathrooms and we love how they both turned out.
Lecut Construction completed a full remodel of our kitchen and master bathroom plus beautification of our garage. Yari Bardugo presided over the operation with skill, attentiveness, and good humor. All structural work was totally robust – we could see the quality being built in. Work on the finish elements was where Yari really shined. He checked for our desired positioning of lights and switches and the height of grab bars. When we were uncertain, he offered helpful suggestions. Yari also orchestrated various resources within Lecut (electricians and tilers) and outside (asbestos removal and HVAC). If anything wasn’t perfect the first time, Yari helped us improve it. He came to visit nearly every day, and we enjoyed our conversations very much.

My Husband and i absolutely thrilled with my newly remodeled kitchen by LECUT CoNSTRCTION / Yari, I had a very specific vision for a clean, minimalist, all-white kitchen centered around a beautiful island, and they brought it to life perfectly. The team was professional, communicative, and truly respected, specially Yari and Louis, my home throughout the entire process. The quality of the finishings and the attention to detail exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a team that can execute a flawless design, I highly recommend them!"

These guys handled my bathroom in a very special way. They did an overall renovation on my bathroom and it looks great now. I would highly recommend them again and again.
The best ability is availability. I originally chose LeCut after interviewing with a few local Referred construction people. My decision was based on, simply looking at the yelp and Google reviews first. Then, Yari, who became our consultant, showed up and spent some time discussing the project with me. We set realistic goals for a timeline. He shared some ideas that the other construction team members did not share. I didn't feel like I was surprised during any point in the process. One of the things that Yari did really well is maintain communication and pretty much a daily basis. There was times when he was proactive, but there was times when he was responsive to my calls. Doing a big construction project has a lot of small intricacies. I felt like the communication was pretty fluid throughout. This was even when Yari was on a family vacation up in Yellowstone. He was proactively communicating with me. Edgar was our foreman and he did an excellent job of showing up every day and working on rhythm. I don't think he took a day off. Overall, I would say very professional between my two point people. The owner of the company, Michael showed up and did a friendly check in when Yari was on vacation. Overall, we are happy with our new kitchen and living room floors. Thank you guys! Keep up the great work...

The outdoor environments in Santa Clara are defined by high levels of sunlight, hot weather conditions in the day and humidity in the summer season which gradually evaporates moisture in the uncovered materials. Areas around Old Quad, Rivermark and Central Park have a long UV exposure which may overheat deck surfaces and hasten fading and drying. In the absence of adequate airflow, space and heat sensitive building, decks in this region may be uncomfortable to work with and susceptible to cracking or even surface erosion in the long run.
The building of the deck in Santa Clara needs to pay close attention to the wear caused by climate. The sun may fade and overheat the surface in the long run, and some rainfall and lower temperatures may influence moisture in the building. Ventilation, spacing and material performance need to be done properly to avoid warping, cracking and premature aging. Our team constructs decks keeping these local conditions in mind, comfort, durability and predictability of long-term performance, being the key priorities.
Deck Installation for Low Maintenance Solutions
Low-maintenance deck solutions would also be particularly beneficial in the climate of Santa Clara, where the sun is continuously exposed to it, which would wear the materials in the shortest time possible unless selected thoughtfully. Deck installations should be designed to be resistant to wear, heat resistance and easy to maintain but should be durable so that they do not deteriorate with time making them physically defective and visually inconsistent.
Material Selection for Reduced Upkeep
The choice of decking materials is based on the property of resisting fading, splintering and surface decay due to the long-term effects of UV light. These materials last longer when it is directly in the sun and dry. This greatly minimizes the periodic sealing, staining or refinishing in the long-term.
Heat-Resistant Surface Planning
Board spacing and surface finishes will be installed to control heat accumulation during hot afternoons that are a typical feature of Santa Clara. Correct spacing facilitates air circulation which reduces the surface temperatures. This enhances ease of use and reduces friction on decking.
Long-term Stability Structural Design
Framing systems are to be made to support changes in temperature, natural expansions and contractions. Enhanced ties are used to ensure that they are firm enough to avoid slippage, relaxation, and disordered settlement. This solution enhances the structural life and general safety.
Streamlined Cleaning and Attending
The surfaces that are low-porous and coated with durable finishes are easier and more efficient in cleaning. Less dirt, debris and spills are likely to enter the surface. Maintenance is minimal and predictable even in the case of regular usage.
Commercial decks are consistent using disciplined planning and climate-conscious construction are stable, safe and predictable aesthetics in active business settings.

Multi-Purpose Deck Spaces for Dining and Relaxation
Multi-purpose decks should be able to accommodate various activities without being congested. Layout planning is concerned with flexibility and comfort; as well as movement within the space.
- Dining, lounge and circulation areas.
- Spacing was modified to minimize heat concentration.
- Layouts to aid the placement of furniture.
- Flooring chosen to make the floor comfortable to walk on.
Multi-purpose decks can go with day-to-day application and entertainment demands when the arrangement is made right. Climate factors will ensure usability on hot afternoons and cool evenings.
High-Lift Patio Decks with Maximum View
High decks on patios are quite compatible with the requirements of the properties in Santa Clara to maximize the views and outdoor area. Adequate elevation enables one to have better sightlines and more air flows underneath the deck which helps control heat and water. Stability is guaranteed by the structural planning irrespective of the height and exposure.
Safety and comfort are also taken into consideration. Railings, stairs and transitions are built to withstand sunlight and frequent usage without the need to appear bad. Higher decks provide practical outdoor space that is open, safe and relates to the environment.
We Do All the Deck Building Work
A robust deck relies on uniformity in the planning to the final completion. Every stage of construction is synchronized to consider the site conditions, exposure to climate and the structural needs in Santa Clara. This minimizes delays, mistakes and performance problems in the long run.
Care with details is always taken when doing it. Framing alignment through to the final finishes are done in such a manner that the specifications consider the aspect of longevity and usefulness. The outcome is a deck, which is reliable, does not wear out in terms of appearance and is useful in daily use.

For a 20x20 deck, homeowners in San Jose, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale can expect a wide cost range depending on materials and complexity. A basic pressure-treated wood deck typically runs between $15,000 and $25,000, while composite or PVC decking can cost $25,000 to $40,000 or more. Key factors include foundation work, railing type, and any built-in features like steps or lighting. Labor rates in our area also influence the final price. The 3/4/5 rule is a critical guideline for deck building, ensuring structural safety by dictating the maximum cantilever length of deck joists. Specifically, a 2x8 joist can cantilever up to 3 feet beyond the beam, a 2x10 joist up to 4 feet, and a 2x12 joist up to 5 feet. This rule applies when joists are spaced 16 inches on center. Exceeding these limits can lead to excessive deflection or failure. For professional results, always verify local building codes, as requirements may vary. At Lecut Construction, we emphasize that proper joist sizing and spacing are essential for a durable deck that meets safety standards in areas like San Jose.
The average cost to build a new deck in San Jose typically ranges from $30 to $60 per square foot for standard pressure-treated lumber, depending on the size, complexity, and materials chosen. For premium composite or hardwood decks, homeowners should expect costs between $45 and $80 per square foot. These estimates include labor, materials, permits, and basic railings. For a detailed breakdown tailored to local pricing and material options, we recommend reviewing our internal article titled Deck Building Cost Considerations For San Jose Homeowners. This resource provides specific cost factors for San Jose homeowners, including foundation requirements and design choices. Lecut Construction advises always obtaining multiple quotes and verifying contractor licenses before starting your project.
The best time of year to build a deck is typically during the late spring or early fall. During these periods, the weather is mild and dry, which allows for optimal curing of concrete footings and proper adhesion of sealants and stains. Extreme heat can cause wood to warp or crack, while cold temperatures can slow down the curing process and affect the quality of finishes. At Lecut Construction, we recommend scheduling your project when temperatures are consistently between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This window ensures that materials perform as intended and the final structure is durable and long-lasting. Planning ahead for these ideal conditions will help you achieve a high-quality, professional result.
